I recently changed careers from tech recruiter to web engineer. This came from my curiosity of finding out what the tech I spoke about everyday was actually doing. I soon put meaning to all of those languages my canddiates used on a daily basis. I found that those languages were more than just a jumble of symbols and letters, they were ways to build awesome and beautiful things.

A Few Accomplishments

Here a couple projects I have been apart of. Most of these have been built from scratch while being apart of every step of the process. I don't own the sites so if they're down, blame the man.

Donde

A location marketing platform for brands and retailers to convert digital traffic into sales. I was involved with all of the different products available and helped fix bugs and add new features. The design of the dashboard is structured with Semantic and built on Rails. The locator page uses Mapbox to generate the map and we use Angular to populate the data. Local Landing Pages are generated with PHP and using a Jenkins client.It is a fantastic product for all size companies to be easily found and more accessable.

WeevU (contract)

WeevU's goal is to develop an all-in-one social media platform for nonprofits. I helped convert PSD files into live code for their user dashboard using AngularJS, HTML, and Bootstrap. The site is curently in beta stage. I helped with UX and UI consulting and refactoring in order to make the experience as fluid as possible.

Annex

E-commerce sales site built to allow textile manufacturers sell extra product. We built this site from scratch using a user-story as our guideline. I was involved in every step of the process from tech decisions, coding, styling, and refactoring. The site is built using heavy AngularJS for speed and readability. Bourbon was used as our style guide and site structure.

Browsin'

I worked on this site for my 8 day final project at DBC. The app is designed for an audience that has multiple premium media services. For now, the sites we include are HBO Go, Hulu+, and Netflix. The app allows you to search through all of the content that is available to you based on your subscriptions to make your search for something to watch quick and painless. The goal of our app is to have you in and out so you can search less, and watch more.
